RO-DBT is an evidence-based treatment developed by Dr. Thomas Lynch that has shown to be effective in the treatment of avoidant personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, ASD, anorexia, depression, and anxiety. It is based on a transdiagnostic model conceptualizing psychological wellbeing as a function of self-regulation. This workshop will discuss the overcontrolled personality, the theoretical underpinnings of RO-DBT and its comparison to “standard” DBT. Through lecture and experiential exercise, participants will understand and learn to apply basic principles and skills of the modality.
Dr. Tzachi Fried is a clinical psychologist serving as the clinical director of Machon Dvir, a DBT-based outpatient clinic in Jerusalem and Ra’anana. Dr. Fried completed his DBT training at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York and has taught widely on DBT and the treatment of personality disorders
