Group psychotherapy with an integrative approach
Two-year plan

The 'Yuvalim' program for group psychotherapy with an integrative approach is a two-year program operating within the framework of the Mifarashim Institute.

The program is designed for therapists who wish to specialize in group therapy for a wide variety of patients, difficulties, and disorders, and in a wide range of settings and organizations. The program was born out of a growing need in the therapeutic field to provide a response to multiple therapeutic needs, and out of recognition of the healing power of the group, in general, and in post-traumatic situations in particular.

The program includes a variety of theories and familiarity with a wide range of guidance intervention options, while adapting to the unique challenges of the period: guidance of groups focused on trauma consequences, guidance of remote groups, and more. Students will also learn about the processes of establishing a group, considerations in maintaining it, and professional ethics related to the field. The program also includes extended experience from the position of a group participant, and diverse workshop aspects. In the second year of studies, students will establish and guide therapeutic groups under individual and group guidance.

The program's ambition is to establish a professional community that learns, holds mutual consultations, and develops therapeutic thinking and action in the field of groups for adults, youth, and children. A community that promotes the field of groups as a significant therapeutic avenue in situations of distress and difficulties against a background of interpersonal, family, and social vulnerabilities.

Learners will be closely accompanied by the program staff throughout the entire process and in their professional development.

Studies in the program as part of the core studies take place on Tuesdays between 8:00 PM and 3:00 PM, at the Interpretation Institute at the Tel Aviv-Yafo Academic College.

During the year, there will be 3 meetings with the program director at the beginning of the school day on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.

The courses will take place over four semesters and two years of study.
