Yuvalim
The 'Yuvalim' program for group psychotherapy with an integrative approach is a two-year program operating within the framework of the Mifarashim Institute.
The program is designed for therapists who wish to specialize in group therapy for a wide variety of patients, difficulties, and disorders, and in a wide range of settings and organizations. The program was born out of a growing need in the therapeutic field to provide a response to multiple therapeutic needs, and out of recognition of the healing power of the group, in general, and in post-traumatic situations in particular.
The program includes a variety of theories and familiarity with a wide range of guidance intervention options, while adapting to the unique challenges of the period: facilitating groups focused on trauma consequences, facilitating groups remotely, and more. Students will also learn about the processes of establishing a group, considerations for maintaining it, and professional ethics related to the field. The program also includes extended experience from the position of a group participant, and diverse workshop aspects. In the second year of studies, students will establish and lead therapeutic groups under individual and group guidance.
The program operates in two tracks: an adult track, which focuses on integrative work with therapeutic groups in clinical and social spaces, and a children and youth track, which focuses on the group as a developmental space and on the adjustments required for working with young people, dyadic groups, and family relationships. Both tracks combine theoretical study, group experience, experience in supervision, and continuous professional training, with the aim of training therapists for precise group work in a variety of therapeutic and social contexts.
Learners will be closely accompanied by the program staff throughout the entire process and in their professional development.
