Prof. Esther Cohen

Psychologist and instructor in clinical psychology, developmental psychology, and family therapy. For many years, she was a faculty member and head of the Clinical Child Psychology program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Until recently, she served as the head of the Clinical Child Psychology track at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya. Initiated, developed, and disseminated the integrative approach that deals with "attachment-based parenting therapy." Trains and instructs professionals in a variety of children's adjustment and development problems and problematic parent-child relationships. Focuses on research and therapeutic interventions with families exposed to stress and trauma. Her current research focuses on emotional regulation in parenting and its consequences.
