Ami Wiesel
Expert clinical psychologist, therapist, teacher and instructor privately, at the "Connections Institute" and in various settings. Former board member of the Israeli branch of the ACBS. Over the years, I have worked in various and diverse settings, with children, adolescents and adults. As part of my internship, I was exposed to the third wave of the cognitive behavioral world and in particular to ACT. I was happy to find a therapeutic direction that combines CBT with a spirit of attentiveness, presence and acceptance. And for me, the discovery was significant and fulfilling on both a therapeutic and personal level. Over the past few years, an acceptance and commitment approach has been a leading perspective for me in the various settings in which I have treated, guided or taught, such as in hospitalization and rehabilitation, schools, parent training, individual and group therapy. I have tried to convey this spirit to both the various service recipients and the teams. And every time I feel that the approach and direction help, innovate and enable a new path or a different perspective for patients and, no less, for professionals.
