Mark Sherman

Medical psychologist, district medical psychologist, Northern District, United Health Fund.

For a decade, he has specialized in treating heart patients, diabetics, and a variety of patients with chronic diseases. He specialized in treating pain and unexplained somatic symptoms in a multidisciplinary clinic for 7 years. He has been involved in psycho-oncology and palliative care for over 10 years in the community and in private clinics in Haifa and Zichron Yaakov. He was previously a member of the palliative team at Rambam Hospital Haifa and a lecturer on a palliative course at Rambam. He lectures on a variety of topics in medical psychology, burnout prevention, and teamwork building. Lecturer on palliative care and treatment of chronic diseases in Israel and abroad as part of the Knowledge Exchange Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Expert in trauma treatment and the connection between childhood trauma and physical illnesses. Facilitator of groups and workshops for organizations, medical teams, paramedics, patients and family members. Facilitator of bereavement groups and groups for patients within the framework of the Israel Cancer Society. Founder of district clinics for integrative oncology and a clinic for complex patients within the framework of the Northern District United. Member of the board of directors of the Refuah Shlomo Association.

Mark lectures at the institute on a course in psychotherapy for end-of-life situations and life-threatening illnesses.
