Dr. Shirley Ben-Shlomo
Dr. Shirley Ben Shlomo, a clinical social worker and psychotherapist specializing in working with children, youth and adults. Therapist and instructor. Faculty member and senior lecturer at the School of Social Work at Bar Ilan University and head of the master's degree therapeutic program, accompanies therapeutic teams in shelters for women victims of violence and in a center for treating children and youth who have been sexually abused. Works with a psychodynamic approach with an emphasis on object relations theories. Believes that psychodynamic concepts should allow us to think about the patient and understand what motivates him and what blocks him and think about how the therapeutic relationship can help the patient forge a path that moves between his inner world and the outer world.
