Dr. Shira Sobol (Goldberg)

Faculty member and lecturer in the Department of Social Work at Bar Ilan University. As part of the undergraduate and graduate degrees, she teaches clinical courses on individual and group therapy, and addiction courses. Shira owns a private clinic in the center of the country for the treatment of adults, youth, and parent and family guidance. She is an expert in the treatment of addictions and anxiety. Shira researches the field of addictions, in particular cannabis addiction and family and addiction. Shira is the author of the books: "Conquering Fear" and "Parents of Children Without Borders". Furthermore, she has written articles that have been published in international journals. Shira conducts many trainings and continuing education courses in the field of addictions in various settings for teams of doctors, psychologists, social workers, judges, nurses, and more. In the past, Shira managed the addiction treatment department in Kiryat Ono (a regional department that provides a response to all types of addictions for the communities of the Ono Valley).
