Dr. Avital Gershfeld-Litoin

Specialist medical psychologist-instructor, PhD from Tel Aviv University. Her doctoral thesis focused on qualitative research on coping with breast loss from the perspective of loss and grief. She works as a psychologist, instructor and researcher at Tel Hashomer Hospital, and also treats people dealing with illness, disability, loss and grief in a private clinic. She is the head of the medical psychology department at Tel Aviv-Yafo Academic College and also directs the "Loss and Grief" unit at the Mifrasim Institute for Research and Teaching of Integrative Psychotherapy, and teaches professional courses for treatment professionals under this unit.
