The Studio as a Community Work Model in the Shadow of Trauma
Between Artistic Action and Therapeutic Space

The lecture will deal with the "Safe Studio" model, a creative-therapeutic-community space that enables emotional processing and coping with traumatic and complex life experiences. We will examine the role of the artistic space operating at the Hosen Sderot Center as a community-therapeutic tool, and present insights from the processes created therein, illustrating how creative action contributes to expanding mental resources, to the formation of personal and community identity, and to the construction of meaning in situations of uncertainty, especially in the context of living in the shadow of trauma and a continuous security threat.
