4 Thursdays | Starting from 27.06.2024 | Combined frontal and online course

The events of October 7th and the "Iron Swords" War created a complex reality of dealing with trauma, loss, and mass grief. Psychologists, social workers, and psychotherapists with training and experience in treating trauma and crisis situations have mobilized to offer primary care, and now, more than six months after Black Sabbath, the need for grief care is increasing.

In the transition from initial treatment of acute grief to providing assistance over time since the loss, appropriate knowledge and training are required to prevent grief reactions from becoming a persistent grief disorder, and to help mourners return to functioning and process the loss. Course Description: The course will include providing tools for identifying barriers and possible disruptions to the natural grief process, and evidence-based interventions for integrative treatment to reduce grief disorder and treat persistent grief disorder.

During the course, recommended interventions for treating complex and traumatic grief situations will be practiced, focusing on the role of the therapist and on specific work against common barriers that disrupt natural grieving processes.

Course objectives:

✓ Providing tools for identifying and locating difficulties and complexities in grief.

✓ Study and practice integrative intervention for short-term grief-focused treatment.

✓ Increasing the confidence of therapists to engage in grief treatment and identify personal difficulties and barriers.
