The events of October 7 and the "Iron Swords" War created a complex reality of dealing with trauma, loss, and mass grief. Psychologists, social workers, and psychotherapists with training and experience in treating trauma and crisis situations have mobilized to offer primary care, and now, about two months after Black Sabbath, the need for grief treatment is increasing. In the transition from primary care for acute grief, appropriate knowledge and training are required so that grief reactions do not become a grief disorder and to help mourners return to functioning and process the loss. Course Description: The course will include providing tools for identifying barriers and possible disruptions to the natural grief process, and evidence-based interventions for integrative therapy to reduce grief disorder and treat ongoing grief disorder. During the course, recommended steps for treating complex and traumatic grief situations will be practiced, while focusing on the role of the therapist and working specifically with common barriers that disrupt natural grief processes. Course objectives: Providing tools for identifying and locating difficulties and complexities in grief. Learning and practicing integrative intervention for short-term grief-focused treatment. Increasing therapists' confidence in engaging in grief treatment and identifying personal difficulties and barriers.
