10 Wednesdays | Starting 13.03.24 | Online course

Course Description: Every educational framework has its own unique character, ideology, values, qualities and difficulties, and its own ways of conducting itself. Alongside the conscious parts of each system, there are also aspects that are less or not at all conscious. The war presented various pedagogical, educational, therapeutic and organizational challenges to the education systems; a decrease in applications for learning, the integration of children referred from their places of residence with different backgrounds of vulnerable circles, damage to the mobilization of teachers for teaching, and more. All this alongside other staff members who are discovering new creativity, new friendships and closeness. The need for the systems to adapt themselves to the new reality after 7.10 also challenges us psychologists in the field to produce responses adapted to the situation. The course examines the group as a significant space for teams both for reflective work about themselves and about students, parents and more at this time, and as a vital space for developing adapted psycho-educational responses. We will discuss the meaning of different types of group work, and we will learn about tools for diagnosis and guidance that are adapted to the different group dynamics. In the course, we will use examples from the field from the participants' group work with different types of teams and groups in the educational systems. Course objectives: ✓ To broaden the perspective on the meaning of group work with educational teams in wartime through systemic thinking. ✓ To deepen the understanding of group processes and dynamics in educational systems. ✓ To learn about guiding practices for group work with educational teams in emergencies and in routine.
