G-Tep is a focused therapeutic procedure that allows for beneficial processing of traumatic episodes both in a group and individually. The procedure was invented by Dr. Ilan Shapiro and is mainly used for work immediately after or in the immediate aftermath of trauma. The procedure is also suitable for individual work. The G-Tep procedure has been studied and validated by many researchers and in various places around the world and has been proven to be useful in reducing distress from ongoing traumatic events and episodes. The procedure includes emotional and psychophysiological regulation as well as focused processing. What is special about the procedure is the ability of therapists to assist in processing events even without describing the extreme event itself and while strengthening resources. The group and therapist become a significant resource for the patient and processing is done without exposing the participants to the difficult events of others. The learning process includes: Zoom practice day including guided viewing of a video (one and a half hours) Online practice on Tuesday, 26.3.24 between 18:00-21:30 A face-to-face meeting of 6 academic hours on Friday, 29.03.24 between 8:30-13:30, at the college Tel Aviv-Yafo Academic Center, 10 Hever HaLeumim Street, Tel Aviv.
