About the event
The meeting will address the transition challenges experienced by patients from the combat formation, residents of Sderot, who move between spaces of threat, responsibility, resilience, and family. We will address dealing with fundamental conflicts between values and parts of identity, questions about masculinity, "creeping" guilt upon returning home alongside a sense of loneliness and lack of resilience factors, being on the battlefield and returning to a home that is under a challenging security reality, the meaning of reservists within the field of trauma, and of course, the ways in which we can help deal with these conflicting transitions.
Lior Lander - married and father of three, lives on Kibbutz Kramim. Clinical social worker and psychotherapist, graduate of the Winnicott Institute training program.
