The Compass Program

curriculum

The program can be studied on its own or as part of the "Sipunim - a three-year modular program for psychotherapy studies", which provides accreditation from a school of psychotherapy. Completion of the "Sipunim" program also requires studying a year of core studies for integration in psychotherapy before or after studying the program. read more about "Sipunim" >>



Program structure and scope of studies

Duration, Scope and Format of Study: Two years (4 semesters).

Program Scope: 360 academic hours, as detailed below:

Core Courses: - 208 academic hours

Group Instruction: - 104 academic hours

Workshops: - 12 academic hours. Details on the dates of the workshops will be provided at the beginning of the year.

Elective Courses: 36-60 academic hours from the selection of courses at the "Mifrasim" Institute.

First year, first semester

Conceptualization and practice of care, acceptance, and commitment skills (26 hours)

The Philosophy Behind the ACT Approach - Behavioral Theory (26 hours)

Group training (26 hours)


First year, second semester

Act and the Therapeutic Relationship - FAP Model (26 hours)

Mindfulness (26 hours)

Concentrated experiential workshop - ACT in the therapeutic space (6 hours)

Group training (26 hours)


Second year, third semester

Act in the family circle (26 hours)

Deepening, expanding, and refining action interventions (26 hours)

Group training (26 hours)


Second year, fourth semester

Integration models from the practical perspective (26 hours)

Experiential learning in the psychological flexibility model and meetings with leaders (26 hours)

Group training (26 hours)

Concentrated experiential workshop - nature retreat (6 hours)
